Look Beyond the Boardroom in Sioux Falls

Here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, we understand that a conference doesn’t end when the last session is finished for the day. There’s time for exploring the city with an off-site networking event, breaking away for family activities, indulging in great dining options and enjoying a pint at one of our many local breweries.

Let us help you find the perfect off-site venue for your event, and explore a few post-conference activities in the Sioux Falls area, too.

Bring the Whole Family

With 60,000 square feet of meeting space and an on-site water park for hotel guests, have attendees bring their families along to the Best Western Plus Sioux Falls Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center. With two slides, a 130-ft. waterslide and a zero-entry pool, there’s plenty of fun to be had in Sioux Falls once workday is done.

Downtown Sioux Falls hosts First Fridays each month—a day that many local businesses stay open later and offer discounts, specials and live music. The Washington Pavilion, offers no-cost admission to the Kirby Science Discovery Center and Visual Arts Center making it Free First Fridays. With science demonstrations and more than 100 hands-on activities, guests can take advantage of artist receptions and scavenger hunts in the arts center. In need of a unique off-site event? Both venues are also available for corporate events, ranging from theater-style lectures to nighttime galas, and include catering options.

See a Show

From national country music artists to pop music, family shows and sporting events, the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center is filled with year-round nighttime entertainment. And if you’re in need of a unique venue, the center is adjacent to the Sioux Falls Convention Center and Arena, making it a prime location for conventions. Since it opened in 2014, the center has been a popular venue for trade shows, offering 30,000 square feet of floor space with the ability to host sports tournaments and live entertainment under one roof.

Interested in going local? Check out Sioux Falls’ music scene at Last Stop Studios, home to "The White Wall Sessions”—a television show featuring local musicians. The studio seats up to 75 guests and is adjacent to Post Pilgrim Art Gallery and Last Stop CD Shop. The studio space is also available for use as a concert venue, meeting space or viewing room.

Enjoy a Pint

Get to know your fellow conference attendees and exchange business cards while you indulge in a pint of beer at one of the many popular breweries located throughout Sioux Falls.

Explore the beers on tap at the popular Fernson Brewing Company and play a few board games in its modern atmosphere. Beer is brewed and canned on-site, and the brewers often give tours of the process, allowing you to sip samples as you go. The new Fernson on 8th location in downtown Sioux Falls also features live music. Build your own beer flight for just $2 a pour.

In the heart of downtown, WoodGrain Brewing Company welcomes visitors to relax with a pint of their light and refreshing Wheat beer, perfect for summertime. Or in the winter, try the Milk Stout for its hint of chocolate. Known to experiment and create new flavors, WoodGrain Brewing has new brews available for sampling at each visit.

New to the beer scene and created by locals, Remedy Brewing Company opened July 2017. With all of the brewing equipment on display, the team invites guests to learn about the brewing process. On tap, choose from Espina Mexican Lager, Queen Bee Imperial Honey Ale or Cow Tipper Chocolate Milk Stout, perfect for winter months. In addition to great craft brews, the brewery will also have a semi-secluded meeting room and a larger room for off-site events and parties.
